The Friends of Antiquity, in conjunction with The Discipline of Classics and Ancient History in The School of History, Philosophy, Religion & Classics at The University of Queensland present the 19th annual Ancient History Day: "Myth and Magic in the Ancient World".
$35; $15 each for school students and students with ID; $30 FoA members.
Each speaker will address the audience for up to 50 minutes, followed by a brief question time. Free Parking is available near the lecture theatre (signed street parking, the UQ Centre, and multi-level car parks on Sir Fred Schonell Drive. Morning tea and refreshments will be available at small cost in the foyer. Lunch is available at outlets on campus (refer to notices in foyer) or at cafes and restaurants at St Lucia village, about 10 minutes' walk or a short drive from the lecture theatre, or BYO. The recently relocated R.D. Milns Antiquities Museum may be viewed on Level 2, Michie Building. Book display and sales by the Co-op Bookshop, UQ, in theatre foyer. Continuing Professional Development certificates may be ordered on the day ($10 per certificate, postage included).
Please note there will be no public lecture on Friday night this year.
