Nova is the quarterly journal of the Friends of Antiquity. It provides information about the activities of the Friends, and also carries condensed versions of presentations made at the Friends' monthly Sunday Series lectures, lectures from the annual Ancient History Day, and presentations by lecturers whose visits have been funded by the Friends. Nova also contains a number of regular columns submitted by members of the Executive or the Department of Classics.
Nova is not a refereed journal. However, the majority of the talks to the Friends of Antiquity are given by eminent visitors, current and past staff members in the Classics Department, or its graduate students.
Hard copy issues of Nova are mailed out to members of the Friends of Antiquity. In 2012, the Executive decided that at the end of each year the four issues of Nova for that year would be mounted on the Friends' website.
Inquiries about Nova can be directed to the editor: Adjunct Professor Ann Scott firstname.lastname@example.org.
